Residential Interior Design | Full Home Renovation (1,100 sq ft)
Designer: Hema Persad, Sagrada Studio
Featured in Rue Magazine, Summer 2024
Sagrada Studio led the full renovation and interior design of this 1,100-square-foot Pasadena bungalow, reworking the kitchen, living, dining, and two home office spaces to maximize function within a compact footprint.
The project focused on improving livability while creating a cohesive, eclectic environment to showcase the clients’ collection of vintage objects and artwork. New mid-tone wood flooring was installed throughout to unify the home, while the kitchen was fully redesigned with custom cabinetry, a central island, and panel-ready appliances for a streamlined appearance.
A honed quartzite waterfall island anchors the kitchen, with the same material extending to the fireplace and bar to create continuity across the main living areas. Furnishings combine vintage lighting with new seating to balance character and comfort.
The home offices introduce more expressive material moments, including limewash wall finishes and a metallic botanical ceiling treatment, adding depth and variation within the overall palette.
The result is a highly efficient, design-forward home that balances function, cohesion, and a collected, personal aesthetic within a small-scale residence.
