Residential Show House Design | Guest Bedroom + Bathroom

Sagrada Studio designed the guest bedroom and bathroom for the 2024 Real Simple Home in Brooklyn, New York, creating a richly layered, cinematic interior inspired by Funny Girl.

The concept draws from 1960s glamour and Art Deco influences, translating them into a contemporary, highly stylized guest suite. The bedroom is anchored by a mauve-painted backdrop, with crushed velvet bedding in deep chocolate tones and saturated purple drapery, creating a soft yet dramatic foundation.

Decorative elements introduce a playful mix of flora and fauna, including sculptural lighting and curated accent pieces that add dimension and personality to the space.

The adjacent bathroom continues the palette of pink, purple, rust, and tan tones, establishing visual continuity between rooms. A custom mosaic composed of five tones of tile creates a dynamic surface, while a sculptural arch with hand-painted trim frames the tub, adding a strong architectural focal point.

The result is a cohesive guest suite that blends cinematic inspiration with layered materiality, balancing opulence, color, and a distinctly eclectic point of view.
