Residential Interior Design | Full Renovation + ADU Conversion

Designer: Hema Persad, Sagrada Studio
Featured on House Beautiful, December 2025

Sagrada Studio led the full transformation of this Los Angeles residence over an 18-month renovation, reworking both the interior layout and exterior environment to support a multi-generational family lifestyle.

The project involved a complete reconfiguration of the home, including a kitchen renovation, relocation of the laundry room, and the creation of a new bedroom and bathroom suite for the eldest son. A full garage-to-ADU conversion was also completed, extending the home’s livable space while maintaining architectural cohesion across all structures.

The design draws heavily from the client’s global art collection and travel influences, creating a layered narrative informed by color, texture, and cultural references spanning Europe, Africa, and Asia. A cohesive palette of rich reds, blues, and greens is carried throughout custom millwork, bespoke furnishings, and detailed material selections in key living spaces, including the kitchen, dining room, and primary bathroom.

The exterior was fully redesigned as an extension of the interior concept, featuring a reimagined pool area with bold tilework, a custom outdoor kitchen, new furnishings, and updated landscape and hardscape design to unify the front and rear of the property.

The result is a highly personalized family residence that balances functionality, generational living, and a globally influenced design language across interior and exterior spaces.
